The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Huỳnh Nam helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tran Fc's Huỳnh Nam got a free kick in the 14th minute. Võ Viet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Nhật Minh having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Tran Fc's Nguyễn Chuong tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Thi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trần Tho went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Võ Viet made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tran Fc's zone, Võ Viet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Nhật Minh came out of the goal and Võ Viet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Võ Viet struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Nguyễn Nhật Minh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CATS. A collision led to Tran Fc getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Phan Ritchell hit a great ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Huỳnh Hieu Ngan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CATS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Huỳnh Hieu Ngan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nguyễn Nhật Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from La Nghiêm-Minh, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Phạm Hieu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Trịnh Ho took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Thi. Nguyễn Thi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Trần Thos short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Nguyễn Thi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Trần Tho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tran Fc's zone, La Nghiêm-Minh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the game, Võ Viet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nguyễn Nhật Minh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Võ Viet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Nhật Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from La Nghiêm-Minh in the 86th minute of the match. Nguyễn Nhật Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Võ Viet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
