Binh Duong's Huỳnh Minh Phượng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Cuc in the 6th minute of play. Huỳnh Minh Phượng was a little too slow when Nguyễn Cuc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 13th minute, Ba Ria's Nguyễn Cuc ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Huỳnh Minh Phượng. Huỳnh Minh Phượng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 15th minute, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chung Hung's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Huỳnh Minh Phượng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ba Ria's Nguyễn Cuc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Huỳnh Minh Phượng. That made the score 3-0 after 23 minutes of play. Binh Duong's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nguyễn Cuc 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Cuc in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Huỳnh Minh Phượng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Cuc in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Huỳnh Minh Phượng saved Binh Duong from getting behind. After 34 played minutes Binh Duong got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Than. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Cuc in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Huỳnh Minh Phượng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ba Ria getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh hit a great ball. If Chung Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Cuc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Nguyễn Cuc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ba Ria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lý Hung during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Binh Duong's zone, Nguyễn Cuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Huỳnh Minh Phượng came out of the goal and Nguyễn Cuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chung Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Quang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Binh Duong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ba Ria the free kick. 70 minutes into the game, one of Binh Duong:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nguyễn Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huỳnh Minh Phượng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Cuc in the 82nd minute of play. Huỳnh Minh Phượng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chung Hung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chung Hung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Cuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Huỳnh Minh Phượng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phạm Tong was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Chung Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Huỳnh Minh Phượng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
