The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Ha Noi City FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ba Ria:s goal. Ha Noi City FC:s Phan Duc showed great skill when he stopped Phạm Tong:s penalty. Phan Duc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chung Hung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phan Duc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Cuc in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Cuc notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ha Noi City FC's Phan Duc. Phan Duc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chung Hung got free with Phan Duc in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute Phan Cuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Dung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ba Ria and the Ha Noi City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ba Ria's Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59thth minute of the game Nguyễn Cuc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ha Noi City FC's Phan Duc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Ha Noi City FC's Phan Duc got control of the ball when Chung Hung tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dương Thanh Bình's late challenge caught a Ba Ria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dương Thanh Bình helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ba Ria booed when Ha Noi City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dương Thanh Bình didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ha Noi City FC's Phan Duc got control of the ball when Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute, Chung Hung ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phan Duc was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Phan Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Dung having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Ha Noi City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hoàng Tong to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Ha Noi City FC's goalkeeper Phan Duc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chung Hung. If Phan Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phan Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lê Tan hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Chung Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Phan Duc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
