Võ Mai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lê Tuan Hoang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Chung, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Hai Duong's goal looked a bit too open when Võ Mai came free, but Trần Bay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Viet got free with Trần Bay in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lê Thuy kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Nguyễn Viet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Võ Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hai Duong's Nguyễn Xuan got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Võ Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Hai Duong's Trần Duy seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Trần Duy the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hai Duong protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Trần Duy had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 55th minute, one of Hai Duong:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hai Duong. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hai Duong's goalkeeper Trần Bay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute Nguyễn Viet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Bay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes Hai Duong got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Chung. Võ Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of TosedoFC booed when Hai Duong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Khoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Lê Thuy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trần Bay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Trần Bay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Viet, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Võ Mai struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Trần Bay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TosedoFC. Trần Bay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Võ Mai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hai Duong's zone, Võ Mai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Bay came out of the goal and Võ Mai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TosedoFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hai Duong had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
