Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Nhật Minh took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Phan Binh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinh Long's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phan Binh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 5 in the game by Trần Minh-ha from a close distance when the talented Võ Chung managed to make a qualified save. Hanoi A.F.C.'s players were relieved. If Phan Binh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lê Lien lost his temper 15 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 14th minute, one of Hanoi A.F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hanoi A.F.C.. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Vinh Long's Nguyễn Hieu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Võ Chung. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Phan Binh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinh Long's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Binh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Võ Chung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Vinh Long's Phan Binh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Phan Binh was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nguyễn Nhật Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phan Binh to make the kick off. Vinh Long's Phan Binh got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Binh in the 57th minute of play forced Hanoi A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Võ Chung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Võ Chung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Binh, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Nguyễn Thanh Bình kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Phan Binh notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Hanoi A.F.C.'s Võ Chung. Võ Chung was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Võ Chung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Binh, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes, Nguyễn Nhật Minh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hanoi A.F.C. and the Vinh Long players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes Hanoi A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Nhật Minh. Trần Minh-ha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Võ Chung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vinh Long's Phan Binh in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hanoi A.F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hanoi A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Võ Chung, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
