Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nguyễn Lam kicked off to start the match. After 5 played minutes Việt Nam got a freekick which was hit by Vũ Khoi. Chau Doc's Trần Liem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Nhật Minh in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Vũ Khoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trần Liem. Chau Doc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vũ Khoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Nguyễn Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th match minute, Việt Nam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vũ Khoi to maneuver through the defense. Việt Nam's Đặng Liem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Việt Nam from getting a goal against them. If Nguyễn Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tạ Nhật Minh charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tạ Nhật Minh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Việt Nam's Tạ Nhật Minh got a free kick in the 21st minute. Nguyễn Huynh Duc might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Đặng Liem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nghiêm Tu made a kick off. Chau Doc's Trần Liem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Chau Doc from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Lê Dinh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chau Doc's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Dinh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đặng Liem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Lam in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Đặng Liem saved Việt Nam from getting behind. Trần Liem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nghiêm Tu in the 60th minute of the match. Nguyễn Nhật Minh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Trần Liem made a huge save. Trần Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nghiêm Tu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Nghiêm Tu took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Trần Liem to make any attempt to save it. Vũ Khoi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Việt Nam's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 89th minute, Nguyễn Lam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Chau Doc's goal looked a bit too open when Nghiêm Tu came free, but Trần Liem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vũ Khoi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
