Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 4 minutes, Nguyễn Lien made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Buon Ma Thuot's Hoàng Bien tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hoàng Bien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phùng Ho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Nguyễn Lien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Hoàng Bien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hoàng Bien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phùng Ho in the 17th minute of play. Phạm Tan made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Nguyễn Nam sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Nam hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Lien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Quang Ngai fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Quang Ngai's Nguyễn Lien looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Lien in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hoàng Bien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Nguyễn Nam came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Buon Ma Thuot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Nam couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Phùng Ho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hoàng Bien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bùi Duy charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bùi Duy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bùi Duy kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Phạm Tan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Nam in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phạm Nhật Minh was the one to do the kick off. Nguyễn Lien might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hoàng Bien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phạm Tan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Nguyễn Lien struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Hoàng Bien didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quang Ngai. Hoàng Bien made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Phùng Ho sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Duong was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Quang Ngai booed when Buon Ma Thuot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Duong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Lien was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Quang Ngai's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 69 minutes into the game, Hoàng Duong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quang Ngai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buon Ma Thuot the free kick. A collision led to Quang Ngai getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Hoàng Duong hit a great ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Nguyễn Nam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quang Ngai's Phạm Tan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Nguyễn Nam fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buon Ma Thuot's protests and gave Nguyễn Nam a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Phùng Ho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hoàng Bien, passed just outside the right post. Phạm Tan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Nam in the 78th minute of play. Hoàng Bien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phùng Ho in the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Quang Ngai's Nguyễn Ho got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Hoàng Bien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phùng Ho in the 85th minute of play. Nguyễn Nam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phạm Tan having to make a save. Nguyễn Lien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Bien having to interfere. Phùng Ho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hoàng Bien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Buon Ma Thuot's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nguyễn Lien fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Buon Ma Thuot fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Quang Ngai were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
