Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Hung in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Đỗ Hoang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Dong Xoai booed when Ha Giang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Nam didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ha Giang's zone, Nguyễn Duong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Dung came out of the goal and Nguyễn Duong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Dong Xoai defense, Tôn Duc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Đỗ Hoang. The Dong Xoai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Đỗ Hoang should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Dong Xoai's Nguyễn Thi got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dong Xoai's zone, Hoàng Viet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Đỗ Hoang came out of the goal and Hoàng Viet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dong Xoai's goalkeeper Đỗ Hoang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Nguyễn Tan fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dong Xoai's protests and gave Nguyễn Tan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ha Giang booed when Dong Xoai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Trần Hung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hoàng Viet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Đỗ Hoang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Dong Xoai players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ha Giang were winning 0-2.
After having played for 55 minutes, Nguyễn Duc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dong Xoai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Duc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tôn Duc kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of Dong Xoai booed when Ha Giang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tôn Duc didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Dong Xoai's Trần Diem broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dong Xoai's Nguyễn Duc got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trần Hung struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Đỗ Hoang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ha Giang. Nguyễn Duc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nguyễn Duong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Duc in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lê Dung saved Ha Giang from getting behind. 84 minutes into the match, Ha Giang's Trần Hung sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Đỗ Hoang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dong Xoai's Đỗ Hoang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Dong Xoai from getting a goal against them. Ha Giang's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Huỳnh Ho in the 90th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Tôn Duc to score against Đỗ Hoang in Dong Xoai's goal. 1-3 after 90 minutes. 97 minutes into the match, Dong Xoai's goalkeeper Đỗ Hoang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hoàng Viet. A collision led to Ha Giang getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Võ Hieu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ha Giang's zone, Nguyễn Duc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Dung came out of the goal and Nguyễn Duc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Dong Xoai supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ha Giang's performance. The match ended with a win for Ha Giang.
