After 34 minutes Bien Hoa's goalkeeper Nguyễn Lam managed, with a little bit of luck, save Liễu Huy's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. 1-0 came in the 34th minute when Liễu Huy all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Nguyễn Lam. During the 39th minute of the match Nguyễn Thi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nguyễn Thi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 40 played minutes Bien Hoa got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thi. Nguyễn Cong Vinh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Cong Vinh got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Bien Hoa's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Tran came free, but Nguyễn Lam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Da Nang's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
