Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Trần Xuan made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Phạm Thi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quang Ninh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phạm Thi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Trần Xuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lương Hong was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Nguyễn Liem scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trần Pham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Xuan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lương Hong saved Quang Ninh from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Nguyễn Liem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trần Pham was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nguyễn Liem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quang Ninh's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Liem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Pham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quang Ninh's Lương Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Quang Ninh from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute, Huỳnh Cuc fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Trần Xuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vi Thanh's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Xuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lương Hong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Xuan in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lương Hong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trần Pham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nguyễn Liem went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Vi Thanh players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Quang Ninh were winning 1-3.
After a defensive mix-up in Vi Thanh's zone, Lê Tinh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Pham came out of the goal and Lê Tinh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quang Ninh's Lương Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huỳnh Cuc in the 62nd minute of play. Nguyễn Liem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Trần Pham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute of the match Phạm Phong shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trần Pham showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When La Binh fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vi Thanh's protests and gave La Binh a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Quang Ninh fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Quang Ninh:s Lương Hong showed great skill when he stopped Nguyễn Chuong:s penalty. After 80 played minutes Quang Ninh got a freekick which was hit by Lê Thai. After a rather tough play, Vi Thanh's Trần Xuan got a free kick in the 81st minute. Phạm Thi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
