Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Đặng Dung started the match with the kick off. Trần Quang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Đặng Dung's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Nguyễn Van Quyen charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Van Quyen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ha Noi's Nguyễn Van Quyen got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Phạm Hong Minh fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crazy Man's protests and gave Phạm Hong Minh a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Crazy Man! Phạm Khoi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Nguyễn Minh-ha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Bien, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Nguyễn Minh-ha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Nam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Nam in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Minh-ha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Minh-ha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Bien in the 19th minute of play. When Đặng Dung came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Crazy Man fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đặng Dung couldn't finish the play. Nguyễn Cong Vinh hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Bien scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Minh-ha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Nam in the 36th minute of play forced Crazy Man's goalkeeper Nguyễn Minh-ha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Minh-ha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Nam, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Crazy Man's Vũ Binh got a free kick in the 41st minute. After the first half Ha Noi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Nguyễn Phu came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Crazy Man fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Phu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ha Noi booed when Crazy Man was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Cong Vinh didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Trần Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Trần Nam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Minh-ha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Nam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crazy Man's goalkeeper Nguyễn Minh-ha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Bien might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Minh-ha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Bien ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the match, Crazy Man's goalkeeper Nguyễn Minh-ha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Bien. After 85 played minutes Crazy Man got a freekick which was hit by Vũ Binh. In the 88th minute of the match Ha Noi got a corner. Crazy Man's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Phạm Khoi ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Phạm Khoi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nguyễn Minh-ha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
