Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hoàng Loc started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lê Hieu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Loc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Loc in the 5th minute of play forced Yen Bai's goalkeeper Lê Hieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of LANGTOFC booed when Yen Bai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Phu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Yen Bai defense, Hoàng Loc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lê Hieu. The Yen Bai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lê Hieu should have stopped the shot. Lê Hieu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hoàng Loc went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, LANGTOFC's Bùi Hieu Ngan got control of the ball when Liễu Lien tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Trần Binh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Tuan Hoang in the 19th minute of play forced LANGTOFC's goalkeeper Bùi Hieu Ngan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lê Hieu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Loc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lê Loc fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yen Bai's protests and gave Lê Loc a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Yen Bai's Lê Loc got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Hoàng Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, LANGTOFC's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Tuan Hoang came free, but Bùi Hieu Ngan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liễu Lien was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Yen Bai's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Liễu Lien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bùi Hieu Ngan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The wind increased when Trần Tuan Hoang made the kick off in the second half. Trần Tuan Hoang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute, Liễu Lam had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Đặng Lam fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yen Bai's protests and gave Đặng Lam a yellow card for diving instead. 1-2 became the score in the 67th minute when Trần Tuan Hoang elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. LANGTOFC's Bùi Hieu Ngan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Tuan Hoang in the 71st minute of play. When Liễu Lien came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Yen Bai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liễu Lien couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Liễu Lien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bùi Hieu Ngan. LANGTOFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liễu Lien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Lê Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Binh charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Binh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lê Hieu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nguyễn Binh. After a defensive mix-up in Yen Bai's zone, Lê Nhật Minh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Hieu came out of the goal and Lê Nhật Minh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
