MASEW's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that La Hung was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 16 minutes, Chung Hung mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MASEW and the Binh Dinh players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nguyễn Pham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mai Thuy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Võ Tan made a huge save. A collision led to MASEW getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mai Thuy did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-1 to the left of a surprised Võ Tan 67 minutes into the match.
