When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lâm Thanh made a kick off. Đoàn Thuy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trần Thi went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 90 minutes into the match, Rami Ciencabrero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Nam. Lam Dong's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rami Ciencabrero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. An Giang played a much better game than Lam Dong and deserved their victory. The Lam Dong players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
