Tay Ninh's Huỳnh Minh-ha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Tuan Hoang in the 2nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tay Ninh's zone, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Huỳnh Minh-ha came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tuan Hoang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tay Ninh's Hoàng Hong Minh got a free kick in the 4th minute. Huỳnh Minh-ha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Tuan Hoang's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Huỳnh Minh-ha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tuan Hoang in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. United Fandom FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Tuan Hoang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Tay Ninh getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lê Nghiêm-Minh hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Chung Hieu Ngan managed to get in a good position for a shot. United Fandom FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chung Hieu Ngan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Huỳnh Minh-ha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Chung Hieu Ngan came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the United Fandom FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chung Hieu Ngan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chung Hieu Ngan in the 24th minute of play forced Tay Ninh's goalkeeper Huỳnh Minh-ha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Chung Hieu Ngan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Phan Hong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tay Ninh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phan Hong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phan Hong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phạm Nam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Phạm Tran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. United Fandom FC's Phạm Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Hong in the 42nd minute of play. If Nguyễn Tuan Hoang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chung Hieu Ngan to strike the kick off in the second half. United Fandom FC's Nguyễn Tuan Hoang got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chung Hieu Ngan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Huỳnh Minh-ha having to interfere. A collision led to Tay Ninh getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Hoàng Hong Minh hit a great ball. Phạm Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Tran having to interfere. A collision led to United Fandom FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nguyễn Hanh hit a great ball. With a little luck, Tay Ninh's Huỳnh Minh-ha got control of the ball when Nguyễn Tuan Hoang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phạm Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phạm Nam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phạm Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Phạm Tran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Hong in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind United Fandom FC's goalkeeper Phạm Tran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Phạm Nam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Tay Ninh booed when United Fandom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Hanh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phan Hong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Nguyễn Than hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Phạm Nam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phạm Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Lê Nghiêm-Minh suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 87 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Than was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. United Fandom FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tay Ninh the free kick. In the 87th minute, Nguyễn Than hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phạm Tran came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Tay Ninh's Phạm Nam. But to his dismay, Phạm Nam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tay Ninh's Phạm Nam got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
