Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nguyễn Minh got the match started through his kick off. Nguyễn Dung charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Dung the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Tay Ninh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Dung. When Phạm Huynh Duc fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tay Ninh's protests and gave Phạm Huynh Duc a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Phạm Huynh Duc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phan Hong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thanh Bình having to interfere. Nguyễn Thanh Bình came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Tay Ninh's Phạm Nam. But to his dismay, Phạm Nam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Phạm Nam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Phan Hong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Thanh Bình was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 21st minute, Nguyễn Viet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 31st minute of the match Nguyễn Dung completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nguyễn Dung a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Kontum booed when Tay Ninh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Dung didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Nga in the 33rd minute of play forced Tay Ninh's goalkeeper Huỳnh Minh-ha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Nguyễn Nga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Nguyễn Minh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kontum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Phạm Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thanh Bình having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Tay Ninh got a freekick which was hit by Phan Hong. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Phạm Nam made the kick off in the second half. If Phan Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tay Ninh's Phan Hong got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Phan Hong off the ground. Phan Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Duong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Huỳnh Minh-ha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phạm Nam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nguyễn Minh came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Kontum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Minh couldn't finish the play. Huỳnh Minh-ha was a little too slow when Nguyễn Minh got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-3. Nguyễn Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Huỳnh Minh-ha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kontum's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
