Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mai Nam started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Lý Lam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lê Ho came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Van Don Port fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Ho couldn't finish the play. If Lý Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Võ Nhật Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lý Lam, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Mai Nam came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Vinh Phuc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mai Nam couldn't finish the play. Võ Nhật Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lý Lam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Huỳnh Hoang fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Van Don Port's protests and gave Huỳnh Hoang a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Van Don Port defense, Đinh Tho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lê Nga. The Van Don Port fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lê Nga should have stopped the shot. Vinh Phuc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Lý Lam scored to the left of an out of position Võ Nhật Minh, making the score, 2-1. If Đinh Tho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Mai Nam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lê Nga. Van Don Port's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mai Nam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 36th minute Đinh Tho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Nga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lý Lam in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Võ Nhật Minh saved Vinh Phuc from getting behind. Lê Nga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Tấn Dũng, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Van Don Port's Lê Nga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai Nam in the 41st minute of play. If Lý Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lý Lam to strike the kick off in the second half. Lý Lam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lý Lam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Võ Nhật Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Van Don Port booed when Vinh Phuc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Tấn Dũng didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Vinh Phuc's Mai Nam got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 62 minutes, Lý Lam made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Vinh Phuc's Võ Nhật Minh tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Van Don Port's Lê Nga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Van Don Port from getting a goal against them. Lê Nga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mai Nam in the 74th minute of the match. Lý Lam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Võ Nhật Minh having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Lê Tấn Dũng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Lý Lam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Võ Nhật Minh was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Lý Lam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Van Don Port's supporters rose to their feet, but Lý Lam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Võ Nhật Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute Lý Lam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Võ Nhật Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Trần Tong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Võ Nhật Minh was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. When Van Don Port's Lý Lam in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vinh Phuc's goalie prevented a goal. When Lê Tấn Dũng fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vinh Phuc's protests and gave Lê Tấn Dũng a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vinh Phuc getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Lê Tấn Dũng hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Van Don Port players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
