A collision led to Gia Huy FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Phạm Lien hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Nguyễn Hong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gia Huy FC's Trần Tuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Tu in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Trần Chuong took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Tuan. Trần Tuan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 60 minutes into the game, La Nam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dương Hung in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bùi Thanh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Diem hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Dương Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bùi Thanh having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the game Nguyễn Hong Minh made a throw-in which Trần Chuong played forward. Bùi Thanh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from La Nam in the 77th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trần Chuong got free with Trần Tuan in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 85 played minutes Manchesterunited got a freekick which was hit by Phan Tu. Trần Tuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trần Chuong in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, La Nam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Dương Hung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 93 played minutes Manchesterunited got a freekick which was hit by Phan Tu. Manchesterunited's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
