Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Huỳnh Nam got the match started through his kick off. Cao Xanh FC's Phan Thai was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 3rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Thien during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 6 minutes into the game, one of Vinh Yen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Vinh Yen's zone, Nguyễn Hoai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Huynh Duc came out of the goal and Nguyễn Hoai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Nam made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lê Quang immediately put the ball in play. Đặng Hoang made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lê Quang. In the 18th minute, Vũ Quang Thanh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bùi Phuoc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Huỳnh Nam went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Trần Cong Vinh struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Nguyễn Huynh Duc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cao Xanh FC. In the 36th minute of the match, Trần Cong Vinh tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nguyễn Huynh Duc saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nguyễn Huynh Duc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Hoai in the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of Cao Xanh FC booed when Vinh Yen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huỳnh Nam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phan Thai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Phan Thai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Huynh Duc having to interfere. Đào Tuyet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Bùi Phuoc made a huge save. Đào Tuyet took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bùi Phuoc. Bùi Phuoc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 62nd minute, Phan Thai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Cao Xanh FC's goalkeeper Bùi Phuoc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Đào Tuyet. If Trần Cong Vinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lê Hieu Ngan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Bùi Phuoc made a huge save. 79 minutes into the match, Cao Xanh FC's goal looked a bit too open when Huỳnh Nam came free, but Bùi Phuoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cao Xanh FC's Bùi Phuoc got control of the ball when Đào Tuyet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trần Cong Vinh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Huynh Duc having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Vinh Yen's Đào Tuyet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bùi Phuoc. Bùi Phuoc yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Trần Cong Vinh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nguyễn Huynh Duc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Phan Thai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Huynh Duc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Cong Vinh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Cao Xanh FC had been in control for most of the match, Vinh Yen still came away with the win.
