Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniz Teo started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Aziz Hsi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Tan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ryan Devan. Hidayat Seah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prime Lee, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 10 played minutes Morpeth got a freekick which was hit by Gage Choo. Hidayat Seah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prime Lee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prime Lee in the 15th minute of play forced Morpeth's goalkeeper Hidayat Seah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Morpeth's Shukrie Tan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Tan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Prime Lee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prime Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Seah having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Sheffield's Prime Lee sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hidayat Seah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute Faiz Tuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Seah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prime Lee was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Morpeth's Hidayat Seah got control of the ball when Faiz Tuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Prime Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sheffield booed when Morpeth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Wah didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morpeth's goalkeeper Hidayat Seah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Faiz Tuan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hidayat Seah came out and tried to block the shot, but Faiz Tuan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 71st minute. When Shukrie Tan came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Morpeth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shukrie Tan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shukrie Tan in the 85th minute of play forced Sheffield's goalkeeper John Tan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Tan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniz Teo went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Prime Lee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hidayat Seah having to make a save. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheffield's goalkeeper John Tan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Morpeth's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
