Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Khai Siong started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Peter Lonsdale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudy Lum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Ged Wootton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dover AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plumstead the free kick. In the 7th minute, Ged Wootton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Dover AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Khai Siong came free, but Eddy Kemp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Khai Siong hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Peter Lonsdale reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rudy Lum. The goal made the score 1-0. Rudy Lum made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Mattias Swanson sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Al Slade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Dover AFC's zone, Khai Siong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddy Kemp came out of the goal and Khai Siong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ong Yeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Peter Lonsdale came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Dover AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Lonsdale couldn't finish the play. Mattias Swanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rudy Lum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Dover AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Khai Siong came free, but Eddy Kemp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dover AFC's Peter Lonsdale got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Dover AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Swanson to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Mattias Swanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Lum having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Plumstead's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Swanson came free, but Rudy Lum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Khai Siong in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddy Kemp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Plumstead's Khai Siong in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dover AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Peter Lonsdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Plumstead getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Afiz Chew hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khai Siong in the 87th minute of play forced Dover AFC's goalkeeper Eddy Kemp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Lonsdale in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudy Lum saved Plumstead from getting behind. Rudy Lum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Swanson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Plumstead's Khai Siong got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Plumstead's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
