The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steven Seng helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ashby de la Zouch United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Steven Seng hit a great ball. Khai Siong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Azli Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Plumstead's Khai Siong got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Seng in the 18th minute of play forced Plumstead's goalkeeper Rudy Lum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudy Lum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shah Cheng in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Ong Lum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rudy Lum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute Khai Siong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azli Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ashby de la Zouch United's Steven Seng got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Plumstead's Khai Hoe got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Faris Ning hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 39thth minute of the game Steven Seng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plumstead's Rudy Lum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lamar Chan hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Azli Teo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Khai Hoe. Plumstead's Rudy Lum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Seng in the 47th minute of play. The Plumstead players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ashby de la Zouch United were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Khai Siong made a kick off. Rudy Lum made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Steven Seng sent off a good shot on target. Khai Hoe hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Khai Hoe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lamar Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khai Siong in the 67th minute of play forced Ashby de la Zouch United's goalkeeper Azli Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lamar Chan kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steven Seng in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rudy Lum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Plumstead's Rudy Lum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Seng in the 82nd minute of play. Danish Yip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Azli Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Plumstead getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Danish Yip hit a great ball. Steven Seng who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Rudy Lum when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
