Noh Teo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Noh Teo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Gabriel Rajah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. John Amin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Rajah in the 20th minute. Noh Teo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Azam Ramachandran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rifqi Sum having to interfere. A collision led to Clowne getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Famih Chuan hit a great ball. Azam Ramachandran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sarb Lee was the one to do the kick off. Clowne's Rifqi Sum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sarb Lee in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rudy Leng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Amin was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Clowne's goalkeeper Rifqi Sum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Gainsborough defense, Rudy Leng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Amin. The Gainsborough fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Amin should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Clowne getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Shahron Choo hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Sarb Lee took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rifqi Sum to make any attempt to save it. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
