Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andre Faith kicked off to start the match. Adam Cheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Jenkinson having to interfere. Martin Jenkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Cheng in the 8th minute of play forced Harringay AFC's goalkeeper Martin Jenkinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Jenkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Washington's Noh Tan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tod Shephard in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shahron Pillai got free with Martin Jenkinson in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harringay AFC's Martin Jenkinson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Harringay AFC from getting a goal against them. Andre Faith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tod Shephard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Noh Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Adam Cheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Jenkinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Shahron Pillai came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Washington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shahron Pillai couldn't finish the play. Mujahid Gopala Pillai charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mujahid Gopala Pillai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Mujahid Gopala Pillai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Jenkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Adam Cheng dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martin Jenkinson, 3-0. The audience was convinced that Adam Cheng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Jenkinson was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
Darius Battersby's late challenge caught a Washington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darius Battersby helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Darius Battersby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Jenkinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Cheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shahron Pillai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Martin Jenkinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mujahid Gopala Pillai hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Harringay AFC's Andre Faith got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Kurt Gilchrist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shahron Pillai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 played minutes Washington got a freekick which was hit by Adam Cheng. Hugh Patton's late challenge caught a Washington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugh Patton helped the player get up and apologised. After 97 played minutes Harringay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hugh Patton. Washington's Haziq Chee couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Harringay AFC. Washington's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
