The tension between the Holton-le-Clay and the Greenwich players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dale Swee kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Holton-le-Clay's Gara Paine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias McGrath in the 4th minute of play. Mattias McGrath blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gara Paine having to make a save. Greenwich's Mark Clapham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sajeev Ning in the 26th minute of play. Iskandar Leng charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iskandar Leng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Holton-le-Clay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Sajeev Ning in the 38th minute of play forced Greenwich's goalkeeper Mark Clapham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iskandar Leng hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Holton-le-Clay's Sajeev Ning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Clapham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute Martin Clark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gara Paine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mattias McGrath stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Afriz Singh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holton-le-Clay and the Greenwich players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Greenwich's Darius Leather got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gara Paine. After a rather tough play, Greenwich's Caleb Howard got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Greenwich's zone, Sajeev Ning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Clapham came out of the goal and Sajeev Ning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Holton-le-Clay's Sajeev Ning got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sajeev Ning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Holton-le-Clay defense, Mattias McGrath kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gara Paine. The Holton-le-Clay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gara Paine should have stopped the shot. Dale Swee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mark Clapham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Sajeev Ning managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holton-le-Clay's supporters rose to their feet, but Sajeev Ning was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Clapham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Greenwich's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
