When Alex Choo got free in front of the goal in the 6th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Callum Fieldwick was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Alex Choo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th match minute, Ely was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Craig Peacock to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ely's Callum Fieldwick got control of the ball when Ali Rajah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Craig Peacock kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ali Rajah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Callum Fieldwick having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Ely got a freekick which was hit by Craig Peacock. In the 31st minute Matty Southgate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Cho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sajeev Braddell hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Denis Rowland took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Cho. Danbury City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Callum Fieldwick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Rajah in the 36th minute. Callum Fieldwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Choo in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Ely's goalkeeper Callum Fieldwick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Rajah. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Choo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Danbury City booed when Ely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Craig Peacock didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes, Danbury City's Hidayat Seah shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Callum Fieldwick came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Danbury City reached it. Craig Peacock kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Alex Choo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ely's Callum Fieldwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Choo in the 76th minute of play. Alex Choo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Callum Fieldwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Danbury City got a freekick which was hit by Zafran Shyan. In the 86th match minute, Ely was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Craig Peacock to maneuver through the defense. Hidayat Seah, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alex Choo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Callum Fieldwick having to interfere. Ali Rajah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Callum Fieldwick having to interfere. If Alex Choo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danbury City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
