Alam Politiek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hafriz Choy, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Arif Soon struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Zafran Hoe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eastham. After a defensive mix-up in Golders Green's zone, Nicholas Laycock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zafran Hoe came out of the goal and Nicholas Laycock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Nicholas Laycock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zafran Hoe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Soon in the 14th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Golders Green got a freekick which was hit by Wong Yi-Sheng. Arif Soon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arif Soon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Arif Soon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golders Green's Zafran Hoe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Eastham fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Eastham's Arif Soon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Amirul Hock kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Zafran Hoe was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ong Hian. Alex Keng blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alam Politiek having to make a save. Nicholas Laycock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zafran Hoe having to interfere. If Arif Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Golders Green! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Nicholas Laycock scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zafran Hoe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Nicholas Laycock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eastham's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Laycock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zafran Hoe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alam Politiek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Keng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Golders Green's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Soon came free, but Zafran Hoe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicholas Laycock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zafran Hoe having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Eastham's Arif Soon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zafran Hoe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Soon in the 72nd minute of play forced Golders Green's goalkeeper Zafran Hoe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wong Yi-Sheng hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Arif Soon struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wei Xuan Lum couldn't finish the play. Wong Yi-Sheng charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wong Yi-Sheng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arif Soon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Zafran Hoe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Eastham fully deserved thier win.
