Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jonathan Chandran made the kick off and thus started the match. Khai Hui succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 3rd playminute. 12 minutes into the match, Basildon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rifqi Hee came free, but Daniz Tian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Basildon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sansone Valgoma to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Tee in the 14th minute of play forced Rothwell United's goalkeeper Fariz Tan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rothwell United's Fariz Tan got control of the ball when Jonathan Lee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Khairil Dryburgh struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Daniz Tian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rothwell United. 18 minutes into the match, Khairil Dryburgh notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Basildon FC's Daniz Tian. Daniz Tian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 21 played minutes Rothwell United got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Chandran. When Aziz Tee came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Basildon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aziz Tee couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rothwell United's goalkeeper Fariz Tan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Aziz Tee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fariz Tan was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Basildon FC's zone, Jonathan Chandran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniz Tian came out of the goal and Jonathan Chandran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khairil Dryburgh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aziz Tee made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Khairil Dryburgh reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniz Tian. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 56th match minute, Basildon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khai Hui to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Basildon FC's zone, Lee Hongyi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniz Tian came out of the goal and Lee Hongyi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rifqi Hee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniz Tian having to interfere. Fariz Tan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aziz Tee in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute Aziz Tee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fariz Tan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Rothwell United's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Lee came free, but Fariz Tan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniz Tian came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Rothwell United's Jonathan Chandran. But to his dismay, Jonathan Chandran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Aziz Tee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aziz Tee in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fariz Tan saved Rothwell United from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Aziz Tee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fariz Tan was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Fariz Tan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aziz Tee, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Aziz Tee took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fariz Tan. Fariz Tan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Basildon FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Rothwell United had controlled the match.
