After a rather tough play, Niveksters FC's Danish Cheng got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Niveksters FC's Ron Keng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faiz Swee in the 4th minute of play. If Lee Namasivayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Great Staughton United booed when Niveksters FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iskandar Lee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haziq Ning hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Niveksters FC's Ang Keng tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alex Henderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prime Chien-Kwan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Henderson in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Lee Namasivayam made a precise shot to the right of Ron Keng. Niveksters FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Darryl Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ron Keng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Faiz Swee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lee Namasivayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faiz Swee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Keng having to interfere. Prime Chien-Kwan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Siong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Great Staughton United's Darryl Tuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ron Keng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Siong in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Prime Chien-Kwan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Namasivayam in the 39th minute of play forced Niveksters FC's goalkeeper Ron Keng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Henderson made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Darryl Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Alex Henderson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 55 played minutes Niveksters FC got a freekick which was hit by Mohammad Pieng. When Shahron Choy came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Great Staughton United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shahron Choy couldn't finish the play. Darryl Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ron Keng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darryl Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Keng having to interfere. Shahron Choy hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ron Keng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zafran Hsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faiz Swee got free with Ron Keng in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Great Staughton United booed when Niveksters FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Siong didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Niveksters FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alex Henderson hit a great ball. Lee Namasivayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ron Keng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Niveksters FC's zone, Shahron Choy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron Keng came out of the goal and Shahron Choy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faiz Swee in the 87th minute of play forced Niveksters FC's goalkeeper Ron Keng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Haziq Ning got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Niveksters FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Great Staughton United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
