Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alif Braddell kicked off to start the match. Vince Sheene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faris Lim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sid Blythe came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the New Milton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Blythe couldn't finish the play. Sid Blythe struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Faiz Tan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Milton. Mick Portway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Faiz Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New Milton's Vince Sheene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faris Lim in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, New Milton's Gaz Willmott got a free kick in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alif Braddell in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vince Sheene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vince Sheene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faris Lim, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Malton's zone, Sid Blythe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faiz Tan came out of the goal and Sid Blythe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 played minutes Malton got a freekick which was hit by Ong Ramachandran. Mick Portway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Didi Lee hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Mick Portway recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Faris Lim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faris Lim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vince Sheene having to make a save. Alif Braddell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vince Sheene having to interfere. After 42 played minutes New Milton got a freekick which was hit by Trey Hedges. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sid Blythe to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Vince Sheene managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Malton's Faris Lim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mick Portway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faiz Tan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Blythe in the 63rd minute of play forced Malton's goalkeeper Faiz Tan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Malton's Didi Lee got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 67 played minutes Malton got a freekick which was hit by Ong Ramachandran. Vince Sheene made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Faris Lim sent off a good shot on target. Calvin Paine hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faris Lim got free with Vince Sheene in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alif Braddell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faris Lim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Vince Sheene skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sid Blythe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Faiz Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Mick Portway notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Malton's Faiz Tan. Faiz Tan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 85th match minute, Malton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danial Cho to maneuver through the defense. In the 88thth minute of the game Alif Braddell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Milton's Vince Sheene was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faris Lim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vince Sheene having to interfere. Calvin Paine kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Vince Sheene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alif Braddell, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. New Milton's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
