Dale Yi-Sheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khairil Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faizal Ee charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faizal Ee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Luton AFC's Faizal Ee got a free kick in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Alif Chian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shepshed's supporters rose to their feet, but Alif Chian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afiz Leng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Shepshed defense, Afiq Gopala Pillai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dale Yi-Sheng. The Shepshed fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dale Yi-Sheng should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Lee Lee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dale Yi-Sheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Alif Chian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Afiz Leng when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wong Hsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Azly Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lee Lee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dale Yi-Sheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Shepshed's John Namasivayam got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Luton AFC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alif Chian to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Shepshed's Alif Chian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afiz Leng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 58 minutes, Alif Chian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shepshed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alif Chian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Alif Chian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Afiz Leng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alif Chian in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afiz Leng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wong Hsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Afiz Leng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alif Chian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afiq Gopala Pillai got free with Dale Yi-Sheng in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alif Chian in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afiz Leng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alif Chian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alif Chian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Luton AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Afiz Sum hit a great ball. Afiz Leng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Namasivayam in the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Luton AFC's zone, Alif Chian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afiz Leng came out of the goal and Alif Chian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afiq Gopala Pillai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Yi-Sheng having to interfere. Although Shepshed had been in control for most of the match, Luton AFC still came away with the win.
