Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Faizal Chai made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Sharizan Wenyong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ashton-under-Lyne's Mujahid Butcher got a free kick in the 4th minute. Faizal Chai might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wei Xuan Chuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faizal Chai ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sharizan Shiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ang Hongyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ron Nagasaki in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Woodlesford's goal looked a bit too open when Ron Nagasaki came free, but Ang Hongyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Woodlesford's Sharizan Shiong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wei Xuan Chuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Faizal Chai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Faizal Chai recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wei Xuan Chuan. Faizal Chai showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Sharizan Shiong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Wei Xuan Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sharizan Shiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the game, Khai Soon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ashton-under-Lyne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woodlesford the free kick. Khai Soon hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Sharizan Shiong came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Woodlesford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sharizan Shiong couldn't finish the play. Faizal Chai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Wei Xuan Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48thth minute of the game Faizal Chai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ashton-under-Lyne's Wei Xuan Chuan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Merlin Laycock made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Woodlesford got a freekick which was hit by Sharizan Wenyong. In the 56th match minute, Woodlesford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shahron Lam to maneuver through the defense. Faizal Chai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Wei Xuan Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Ashton-under-Lyne's goal looked a bit too open when Sharizan Shiong came free, but Wei Xuan Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wei Xuan Chuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faizal Chai, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of Ashton-under-Lyne booed when Woodlesford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faizal Chai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Sharizan Shiong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Xuan Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ang Hongyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merlin Laycock in the 82nd minute of play. Wei Xuan Chuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sharizan Shiong in the 85th minute of the match. Sharizan Shiong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wei Xuan Chuan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sharizan Shiong in the 89th minute of play forced Ashton-under-Lyne's goalkeeper Wei Xuan Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Faizal Chai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Xuan Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Woodlesford walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
