Alsager were furious when Didi Chuan was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Didi Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Khairil Lim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zack Tan having to interfere. After 35 minutes of play, Alsager's Khairil Lim made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zack Tan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 minutes of play, Alsager's Shah Seng made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zack Tan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Nailsworth AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alsager were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ong Tian was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Nailsworth AFC's zone, Ong Tian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zack Tan came out of the goal and Ong Tian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Mujahid Ee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alsager's Zak Chew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haziq Keng in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Jerry Braddell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zak Chew was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Zack Tan made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ong Tian sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 70 minutes, Ong Tian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alsager's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ong Tian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Khairil Lim came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Alsager fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khairil Lim couldn't finish the play. Ong Tian struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Zack Tan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alsager. Felix Hong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zack Tan having to interfere. Nailsworth AFC's Zack Tan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Nailsworth AFC from getting a goal against them. Jerry Braddell charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerry Braddell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Alsager booed when Nailsworth AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Braddell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alsager's Ong Tian got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nailsworth AFC's goalkeeper Zack Tan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ong Tian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Faiz Keng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nailsworth AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alsager the free kick. After 90 played minutes Nailsworth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Faiz Keng. A collision led to Nailsworth AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jerry Braddell hit a great ball. A hard shot 94 in the game by Ong Tian from a close distance when the talented Zack Tan managed to make a qualified save. Nailsworth AFC's players were relieved. Alsager's Shukrie Abdul got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
