The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hidayat Hoe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dale Yeo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hamir Tioe hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Samuel Singh was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Merlin Namasivayam hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Albert Laycock charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Laycock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Muhammad Ee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fulbourn's Farhan Abisheganaden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Ee in the 23rd minute of play. Albert Laycock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Hidayat Hoe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Yorkshire City's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Laycock came free, but Hidayat Hoe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hidayat Hoe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Yeo in the 29th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Muhammad Ee took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Farhan Abisheganaden to make any attempt to save it. Albert Laycock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 43 minutes into the match, Fulbourn's Albert Laycock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hidayat Hoe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hidayat Hoe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dale Yeo went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Fulbourn booed when Yorkshire City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Famih Ning didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Shukrie Namasivayam fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yorkshire City's protests and gave Shukrie Namasivayam a yellow card for diving instead. Victor Wah kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Yorkshire City's zone, Albert Laycock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hidayat Hoe came out of the goal and Albert Laycock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Yorkshire City's Hamir Tioe got a free kick in the 91st minute. Albert Laycock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Hoe having to interfere. Fulbourn were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Yorkshire City to leave the ground with a draw.
