Alex Pillai started the match with the kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Rudy Low managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stoney Stanton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudy Low was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Shah Tan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Dyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Moussy Pirates getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bineesh Lim hit a great ball. Moussy Pirates's SK Siong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Low in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexander Dyce made a kick off. If Noh Nagasaki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shah Tan during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moussy Pirates's Shukrie Abdul couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stoney Stanton. Lamar Hsin came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Moussy Pirates's Alex Pillai. But to his dismay, Alex Pillai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Stoney Stanton getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Iskandar Ning hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Noh Nagasaki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lamar Hsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Alex Pillai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Moussy Pirates's SK Siong got control of the ball when Rudy Low tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, Moussy Pirates's Alex Pillai made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lamar Hsin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Alexander Dyce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but SK Siong was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Rudy Low managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stoney Stanton's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudy Low was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. SK Siong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Stoney Stanton's zone, Alex Pillai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lamar Hsin came out of the goal and Alex Pillai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexander Dyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without SK Siong having to interfere. Sajeev Koh's late challenge caught a Stoney Stanton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sajeev Koh helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Moussy Pirates's Sajeev Koh got a free kick in the 92nd minute. SK Siong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudy Low in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Stoney Stanton's Alexander Dyce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that SK Siong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Moussy Pirates were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Stoney Stanton for a fine match.
