The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shukrie Chai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronn Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Chadderton United's Rueben Appleton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 32 minutes into the game, Rueben Appleton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chadderton United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Ash Green FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chadderton United's Rueben Appleton got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes in the game Ronn Chuan did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rueben Appleton. 40 minutes into the game, Khairil Dyce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Ash Green FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chadderton United the free kick. A collision led to New Ash Green FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Khairil Dyce hit a great ball.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rueben Appleton in the 55th minute of play forced New Ash Green FC's goalkeeper Shukrie Chai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ang Hsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Chadderton United's Liam Fairbank got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Khairil Dyce got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 91st minute Ang Hsin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Osbourn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Chadderton United were victorious despite being under pressure from New Ash Green FC for much of the match.
