The audience was convinced that Faizal Leng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but SK Ching was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Smallfield's SK Ching proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Smallfield from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Smallfield's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
