Alexander Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Lam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Lam in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Tan Politiek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Runcorn's Hidayat Teo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Runcorn booed when Hampton in Arden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shahiran Siong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afiz Kang, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afiz Kang in the 21st minute of play forced Runcorn's goalkeeper Alexander Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afiz Kang in the 24th minute of the match. Didi Low sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Faiz Chien-Kwan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Teo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Lam's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Alexander Teo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afiz Kang went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Darryl Lam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Hampton in Arden were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Didi Low made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Didi Low managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Runcorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Low was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Runcorn's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rifki Chan in the 57th minute. After taking down the ball on Runcorn's corner Rifki Chan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Asiz Yang quite easily take care of the ball. Alexander Teo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darryl Lam in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afiz Kang in the 59th minute of play forced Runcorn's goalkeeper Alexander Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afiz Kang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Teo having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Hampton in Arden's Darryl Lam dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After some careless play in the Runcorn defense, Darryl Lam kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Teo. The Runcorn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Teo should have stopped the shot. Alexander Teo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Lam's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Darryl Lam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Alexander Teo made a huge save. A collision led to Runcorn getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Faiz Chien-Kwan hit a great ball. When Darryl Lam came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Hampton in Arden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darryl Lam couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darryl Lam got free with Alexander Teo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darryl Lams short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Alexander Teo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Afiz Kang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Afiz Kang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
