Anil Soon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Boys. 13 minutes into the game, Khairul Lam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alif Hong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alif Hong didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerard Seng went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Alif Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khairul Lam, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Golden Boys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Swadlincote City:s goal. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Swadlincote City. Prime Peng stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alif Hong. 0-3. Swadlincote City's Anil Soon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Swadlincote City from getting a goal against them. Noh Low fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anil Soon having to interfere. In the 37th minute Khairul Lam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alif Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Khairul Lam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swadlincote City's supporters rose to their feet, but Khairul Lam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alif Hong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Golden Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Khairul Lam came free, but Alif Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noh Low recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerard Seng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Noh Low might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anil Soon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noh Low ran back to his position shaking his head. Anil Soon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noh Low in the 59th minute of play. Golden Boys's Noh Low got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Daniz Swee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Darren Chien-Kwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Swadlincote City's zone, Noh Low stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anil Soon came out of the goal and Noh Low tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noh Low spun around in front of the goal 71 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Swadlincote City's goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Noh Low managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noh Low was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Prime Peng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Zak Hian came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Golden Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zak Hian couldn't finish the play. Anil Soon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noh Low went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Anil Soon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darren Chien-Kwan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Darren Chien-Kwan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anil Soon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After a rather tough play, Swadlincote City's Daniz Swee got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Anil Soon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Chien-Kwan in the 94th minute of play.
