Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Noh Low took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Amirul Devan came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Cowplain FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amirul Devan couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zafran Hee in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alif Hong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hafriz Wenyong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Chien-Kwan in the 22nd minute of play. Golden Boys's Noh Low got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hafriz Wenyong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noh Low, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zafran Hee made the kick off in the second half. Darryl Tee hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Zafran Phua from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Hafriz Wenyong's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Noh Swee fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cowplain FC's protests and gave Noh Swee a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th match minute, Cowplain FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noh Swee to maneuver through the defense. Amirul Devan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alif Hong having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Golden Boys were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Cowplain FC side.
