Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Steven Pieng took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hidayat Cheng's late challenge caught a Wroughton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hidayat Cheng helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Bradford City got a freekick which was hit by Hidayat Cheng. The audience thought a goal was coming when Farhan Gopala Pillai got free with Shafiq Lim in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sajeev Kang during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes Wroughton got a freekick which was hit by Sajeev Kang. Tan Ramachandran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shukrie Mathews, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Bradford City's goal looked a bit too open when Sajeev Kang came free, but Shafiq Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Shukrie Mathews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tan Ramachandran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shafiq Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Pieng in the 24th minute of play. Rifqi Chee took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shafiq Lim. Shafiq Lim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Farhan Gopala Pillai charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Farhan Gopala Pillai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Pieng in the 46th minute of play forced Bradford City's goalkeeper Shafiq Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Farhan Gopala Pillai dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Shafiq Lim, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bradford City's Shafiq Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sajeev Kang in the 55th minute of play. Hidayat Cheng kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Shafiq Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Farhan Gopala Pillai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Bradford City defense, Farhan Gopala Pillai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shafiq Lim. The Bradford City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shafiq Lim should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Azli Soon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Bradford City booed when Wroughton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sajeev Kang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Sajeev Kang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Wroughton's goal looked a bit too open when Shukrie Mathews came free, but Tan Ramachandran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shafiq Lim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bradford City! Shafiq Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Farhan Gopala Pillai in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Farhan Gopala Pillai made a precise shot to the right of Shafiq Lim. Bradford City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Darren Hian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 101st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wroughton's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
