Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 3 played minutes, Grasmere AFC's Jonathan Hui shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ryan Soon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grasmere AFC reached it. Grasmere AFC's Hidayat Ching played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firdauz Sim in the 6th minute of play. When Lamar Dhanabalan fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Micklefield's protests and gave Lamar Dhanabalan a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prime Seah in the 9th minute of play forced Grasmere AFC's goalkeeper Hidayat Ching to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Prime Seah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Micklefield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prime Seah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Prime Seah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Ching saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ryan Soon was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Azam Hian capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Azam Hian really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ryan Soon made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Azam Hian sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the game, Azam Hian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grasmere AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Micklefield the free kick. In the 26th minute, Azam Hian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Prime Seah put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hidayat Ching. Mohammad Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Ching having to interfere. When Prime Seah came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Micklefield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prime Seah couldn't finish the play. Azam Hian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ryan Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Yang was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Grasmere AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dale Politiek hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Hidayat Ching successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nicholas Yeo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Azam Hian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Micklefield's goalkeeper Ryan Soon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Firdauz Sim hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Azam Hian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryan Soon was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Joel Yang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ryan Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Micklefield's Lamar Dhanabalan got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Lamar Dhanabalan off the ground. Lamar Dhanabalan kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Joel Yang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryan Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azam Hian, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Joel Yang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Soon having to interfere. When Prime Seah fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Micklefield's protests and gave Prime Seah a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Micklefield's Prime Seah got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
