Jithu Tan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Iskandar Yip made a huge save. 7 minutes into the match, Moretonhampstead City's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Koh came free, but Arif Boon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee gave Leytonstone FC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arif Teo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Moretonhampstead City's Arif Boon. 0-1. Jonathan Sarangapani hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Darryl Sim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Boon having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Jithu Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moretonhampstead City's supporters rose to their feet, but Jithu Tan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iskandar Yip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Darryl Sim came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Leytonstone FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darryl Sim couldn't finish the play. In the 24th play minute Jithu Tan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Iskandar Yip. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wong Koh in the 28th minute of play forced Moretonhampstead City's goalkeeper Arif Boon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Leytonstone FC got a corner. Moretonhampstead City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arif Teo ran over to the corner to take the kick. 31 minutes into the game, Zafran Hui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Iskandar Yip was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gerard Seng shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Zafran Hui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iskandar Yip having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zafran Hui was the one to do the kick off. Arif Boon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wong Koh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerard Seng took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iskandar Yip. Leytonstone FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Iskandar Yip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zafran Hui in the 62nd minute of the match. After 62 played minutes Leytonstone FC got a freekick which was hit by Sharizan Chandran. After 64 minutes, Alex Kool mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leytonstone FC and the Moretonhampstead City players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Zafran Hui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 69 played minutes Moretonhampstead City got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Sarangapani. Arif Teo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Sharizan Chandran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Wong Koh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leytonstone FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wong Koh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sharizan Chandran kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Zafran Hui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iskandar Yip having to interfere. Khairul Swee's late challenge caught a Leytonstone FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Khairul Swee helped the player get up and apologised. Iskandar Yip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jithu Tan in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Leytonstone FC's zone, Zafran Hui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iskandar Yip came out of the goal and Zafran Hui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leytonstone FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Moretonhampstead City.
