Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dewsbury FC's Damien Ashworth started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Muhammad Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Hardwick having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Damien Ashworth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dewsbury FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damien Ashworth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Stonehouse's zone, Damien Ashworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faizal Kang came out of the goal and Damien Ashworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Azly Ee hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Damien Ashworth struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Faizal Kang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dewsbury FC. Barrie Cross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Stonehouse getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jonathan Shyan hit a great ball. Stonehouse's Jonathan Shyan suffered a sore thigh after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Dewsbury FC's Gerry Nash got a free kick in the 34th minute. Shah Teo struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Wayne Hardwick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stonehouse. When Azly Ee came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Stonehouse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Azly Ee couldn't finish the play. Barrie Cross in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Faizal Kang, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Damien Ashworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Stonehouse getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Muhammad Lee hit a great ball. Damien Ashworth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Damien Ashworth notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Stonehouse's Faizal Kang. Faizal Kang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Dewsbury FC's Rupert Cobb got a free kick in the 64th minute. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Shah Teo sped through Dewsbury FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wayne Hardwick. If Shah Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Stonehouse defense, Barrie Cross kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faizal Kang. The Stonehouse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faizal Kang should have stopped the shot. Shah Teo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Wayne Hardwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrie Cross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Stonehouse's Muhammad Lee got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Barrie Cross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stonehouse's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
