Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Azly Seng made the kick off and thus started the match. Mohammad Hian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vygandas Legeckas having to make a save. After having played for 8 minutes, Ronn Abisheganaden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wimbledon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronn Abisheganaden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vygandas Legeckas came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Wimbledon FC's Mohammad Hian. But to his dismay, Mohammad Hian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mohammad Hian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Vygandas Legeckas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Singapore LionsXII getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Anil Ee hit a great ball. Vygandas Legeckas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohammad Hian in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes Singapore LionsXII's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felix Chee who took care of the corner kick. Anil Chian was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Singapore LionsXII's goalkeeper Vygandas Legeckas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Singapore LionsXII got a freekick which was hit by Azly Seng. Vygandas Legeckas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronn Abisheganaden, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Ronn Abisheganaden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vygandas Legeckas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes, Jerry Chan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Singapore LionsXII and the Wimbledon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wimbledon FC booed when Singapore LionsXII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Chan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronn Abisheganaden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronn Abisheganaden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vygandas Legeckas having to interfere. When Wimbledon FC's Mohammad Hian in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Singapore LionsXII's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohammad Hian was the one to do the kick off. Ronn Abisheganaden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vygandas Legeckas having to interfere. Mohammad Hian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ronn Abisheganaden came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Wimbledon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronn Abisheganaden couldn't finish the play. Mohammad Hian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Singapore LionsXII fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Anil Ee charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anil Ee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anil Ee hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes, Famih Swee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Singapore LionsXII and the Wimbledon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Singapore LionsXII got a freekick which was hit by Famih Swee. Ronn Abisheganaden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vygandas Legeckas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Azly Seng took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Amin. Jonathan Amin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ronn Abisheganaden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vygandas Legeckas having to interfere. After 88 minutes Singapore LionsXII's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felix Chee who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Wimbledon FC's corner Felix Chee fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vygandas Legeckas quite easily take care of the ball. Ronn Abisheganaden's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vygandas Legeckas firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 93rd play minutes Mohammad Hian shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Vygandas Legeckas and just under the crossbar into goal. Vygandas Legeckas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronn Abisheganaden in the 97th minute. In the 98th play minute Ronn Abisheganaden came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vygandas Legeckas. 1-5. When the match was over Wimbledon FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Singapore LionsXII throughout the match.
