Sean Sarangapani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Abdul in the 42nd minute of play. Gabriel Hsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Rifki Chew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khai Tioe in the 56th minute of the match. Rifki Chew made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Hsin in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Hsin got free with Rifki Chew in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mujahid Soon hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A hard shot 71 in the game by Faiz Siang from a close distance when the talented Rifki Chew managed to make a qualified save. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniz Paine helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Whitby's Daniz Paine got a free kick in the 94th minute. Malton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
