A collision led to Downton City getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Rifki Seng hit a great ball. If Lamar Politiek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Ali Soon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Downton City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Downton City booed when Wokingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zak Rajah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wokingham's Bakar Nagasaki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Soon in the 31st minute of play. Afiz Tuan charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afiz Tuan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The coaching staff of Wokingham protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ron Seng had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Downton City. Ang Vijiaratnam stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bakar Nagasaki. 0-2.
