Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ron Soon made the kick off and thus started the match. Anil Hee's late challenge caught a Fordham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anil Hee helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Quinton's Anil Hee got a free kick in the 5th minute. Ron Soon struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Khai Kool didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fordham. After a rather tough play, Fordham's Faris Kang got a free kick in the 12th minute. Fordham's Marco Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zak Henderson in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Fordham getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Rifki Low hit a great ball. When Zak Henderson came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Quinton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zak Henderson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Fordham's Alois Hořava got a free kick in the 21st minute. A collision led to Fordham getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rifqi Wah hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Fordham got a freekick which was hit by Ron Soon. If Rifki Low had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Quinton defense, Ron Soon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khai Kool. The Quinton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khai Kool should have stopped the shot. Tan Soon hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 37 played minutes Quinton got a freekick which was hit by Amir Politiek. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zak Henderson in the 43rd minute of play forced Fordham's goalkeeper Marco Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khai Kool didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ron Soon went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The wind increased when Zak Henderson made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Fordham's goal looked a bit too open when Fariz Lim came free, but Marco Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Shafiq Swee came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Quinton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shafiq Swee couldn't finish the play. Fordham's Azam Hsi was substituted for Ron Soon. Marco Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zak Henderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Fordham's goal looked a bit too open when Fariz Lim came free, but Marco Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rifki Low fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fordham's protests and gave Rifki Low a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Rifki Low hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Fordham defense, Fariz Lim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Saldanha. The Fordham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Saldanha should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 91 in the game by Azam Hsi from a close distance when the talented Khai Kool managed to make a qualified save. Quinton's players were relieved. Azam Hsi scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Khai Kool, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Fordham supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fordham would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
