After 9 minutes, Zak Henderson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Millbrook AFC's Asiz Wenyong tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute, Alif Namasivayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Millbrook AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zak Henderson came free, but Asiz Wenyong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Millbrook AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. John Koh hit a great ball. Khai Kool made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danial Laycock in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Quinton's goal looked a bit too open when John Koh came free, but Khai Kool reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes, Millbrook AFC's Alan Au shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Khai Kool came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Millbrook AFC reached it. After a rather tough play, Millbrook AFC's John Koh got a free kick in the 39th minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zak Henderson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Zak Henderson came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Quinton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zak Henderson couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, one of Quinton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Asiz Wenyong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fariz Lim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Asiz Wenyong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fariz Lim in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 minutes, Alif Namasivayam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Millbrook AFC and the Quinton players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Millbrook AFC's Alif Namasivayam got a free kick in the 71st minute. Quinton's Fariz Lim got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Quinton's Khai Kool got control of the ball when Danial Laycock tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Quinton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Chong to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danial Laycock during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Danial Laycock kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Millbrook AFC's goalkeeper Asiz Wenyong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gabriel Chong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asiz Wenyong having to interfere. Fariz Lim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gabriel Chong came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Quinton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Chong couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Millbrook AFC's zone, Fariz Lim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asiz Wenyong came out of the goal and Fariz Lim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Quinton booed when Millbrook AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Koh didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Quinton were the better team. Quinton's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
