Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gabriel Seah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shahiran Cho, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute Rifki Yip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Seah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Padstow United's Gabriel Seah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shahiran Cho in the 6th minute of play. When Padstow United's Alam Ramachandran in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grove's goalie prevented a goal. Gabriel Seah made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Merlin Seng sent off a good shot on target. Khai Politiek charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Khai Politiek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Khai Politiek kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Lee Hoe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alam Ramachandran in the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alam Ramachandran in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lee Hoe saved Grove from getting behind. Lee Hoe came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Padstow United's Alam Ramachandran. But to his dismay, Alam Ramachandran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 36 minutes of play Grove's Khai Politiek was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 37th match minute, Grove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khai Politiek to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Sarb Kang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Padstow United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sarb Kang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grove's Lee Hoe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alam Ramachandran in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merlin Seng was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rifki Yip in the 58th minute of play forced Padstow United's goalkeeper Gabriel Seah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Grove booed when Padstow United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Cho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merlin Seng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Merlin Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Seah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rifki Yip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Padstow United booed when Grove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Lim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sarb Kang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lee Hoe having to make a save. Haziq Butcher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lee Hoe having to make a save. In the 81st minute, Shahiran Cho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Seah was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Haziq Butcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lee Hoe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alam Ramachandran in the 86th minute. Grove's Lee Hoe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Grove from getting a goal against them. After 89 played minutes Grove got a freekick which was hit by Mohammad Hee. If Merlin Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azly Chong hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
